THE DAVID FAMILY: Chris David has been married to Sheila since 2007 and they have 3 sons. Joshua, Paul, and Samuel.

I joined the Chick-fil-A family in 2006 at the corporate headquarters and quickly fell in love with the leadership and values of the brand, and decided to pursue the Operator opportunity by joining a leadership development program in Atlanta.

After 4 years in that program and traveling to manage corporate owned stores, I was selected to own and operate the Chick-fil-A of Kent Island, where I have been since 2010.

The things I love most about the opportunity with the Chick-fil-A brand are influencing and developing people positively and the relentless pursuit of excellence.

Chick-fil-A Kent Island is located on an island in a small, tight knit community located on the Chesapeake Bay. The area is well known for hunting, fishing, crabbing, and boating while having very close proximity to the major cities of Annapolis, Washington DC, Baltimore, Philadelphia, and very accessible to New York City.

Chick-fil-A Kent Island opened its doors in September of 2010 and has been growing and serving the community of Kent Island since then. We currently have 100 total employees with 5 people in leadership positions at the Director Level.

Day In Life 2.jpg

A sense of community is a big part of the culture both amongst the team members within the restaurant and in the community outside of the restaurant. The team enjoys sharing “Intentional Acts of Kindness” with members of their community. This is an opportunity for team members to bless customers by giving away free food when they think it might make a difference in the customer’s life. This generosity also abounds in times of hardship as this community recently experienced damaging tornadoes. Chick-fil-A Kent Island gave away 600 free sandwiches to first responders.

This store also seeks to intentionally steward resources that are leftover and recently started to donate leftover food at the end of each day to local charities.
